A “bug-bitten tea,” Oriental Beauty is characterized by its signature honey aroma. It’s the result of a natural phenomenon: after a tiny bug bites the tea plant, the plant defends itself by releasing a hormone to attract the bug’s main predator. When the hormone-rich tea leaves are plucked and processed, the signature honey aroma develops. Rich and regal, Oriental Beauty stands out as one of Taiwan’s most treasured and sought-after teas.
