Rouge Jade Black Tea (30g)
Rouge Jade Black Tea (30g)
During their occupation (1895-1945), the Japanese shifted Taiwan’s tea production and exports towards black tea to compete with Assam teas and to complement their own green tea business. They focused on the Sun Moon Lake region in central Taiwan, where warmer climates were ideal for growing black tea, and established Taiwan’s Tea Research Extension Station (TRES) to innovate new varietals. The result — “Rouge Jade,” a unique Taiwanese black tea, noted for its fruit-forward flavor and distinctive menthol finish.
